KeyPOS Plus features industry standard PC technology that is built in and resides in the POS keyboard. This design produces a compact low profile PC/POS hardware platform that delivers full PC functionality and innovative features designed specifically for retail operations and environments. OPEN SYSTEM PLATFORM KeyPOS Plus™ employs industry standard PC architecture to provide an open system platform that lets you choose the operating system and software applications that best suit your system requirements. KeyPOS Plus™ uses standard PC interfaces which allow you to select and use a wide range of PC options and POS peripherals. RELIABILITY Each KeyPOS Plus™ system is subjected to stringent quality controls throughout the manufacturing process and tested prior to delivery to optimize uptime performance and overall system reliability. KeyPOS Plus™ continues Omron's industry recognized tradition and reputation for delivering high quality retail systems with exceptional dependability. DESIGNED FOR RETAIL ENVIRONMENTS KeyPOS Plus™ was specifically designed for retail environments. Its liquid resistant and dust proof keyboard prevents accidental damage and unnecessary repair charges. In the event of power disruption or failure, KeyPOS Plus™ can automatically protect data and restore the transaction to the last point of entry. Its space saving design frees up valuable counter space for sales items and its modular footprint conforms to any checkout configuration. EASY TO SERVICE & MAINTAIN KeyPOS Plus™ utilizes plug and play peripherals and internal components that can easily be replaced within seconds without any specialized skills or tools. As a result, on-site service can be performed quickly without major disruption to business. This capability and a compact, lightweight footprint make KeyPOS Plus™ ideal for depot maintenance programs which lower the cost of ownership. INNOVATIVE KEYBOARD FEATURES The KeyPOS Plus™ keyboard is fully programmable, allowing keyboard functionality to be customized for any application. KeyPOS Plus™ improves control of your front-end operations by storing up to five separate keyboards which can be independently configured. Configurations can be assigned to a keylock mode and/or entry code, providing a secure, fast and easy method to switch from POS to back office applications. Each keyboard configuration can also be uniquely programmed to allow such functions as CTRL, ALT or DEL to be deactivated for cashier operations, but available to the store manager. In addition, macros can link multiple functions to a single key depression to simplify transaction processing.
FULL PC FUNCTIONALITY The KeyPOS Plus™ keyboard contains a PC motherboard that has all the features and options to provide full PC functionality.
