RS2810 Key Advantages
Feature: Multi-Level Merchandise Control
Capability: The RS2810 provides up to 20 Departments and over 170 PLUs. Negative and Hash Department capability, as well as One-Shot PLUs which provide for enhanced merchandise definition and sale. Future enhancements to increase the size of the PLU file are planned for this year.
Advantage: Merchandise definition is key to the effective tracking of sales. By providing sophisticated features on a stand-alone ECR, the RS2810 demonstrates its commitment to providing the retailer with complete merchandising information.
Feature: Macro Key Functions
Capability: Up to 40 separate keystrokes may be linked to a preset keyboard location. This function will enable an operator to register a complex transaction set or report string simply by pressing a single key.
Advantage: Errors are reduced when management can customize and design special transaction sets to simplify daily operation procedures such as quick tender keys or multiple report strings.
Feature: Flexible Keyboard
Capability: Keyboard positions are programmable allowing terminal function keys or department keys to be placed anywhere on the keyboard (with the exception of the 17 fixed key positions).
Advantage: Individual keyboards may be designed to provide a ``best fit" for each unique retail environment.
Feature: Birthdate Validation
Capability: Through the internal clock in the RS2810, the terminal will calculate and validate a manually entered birthdate, either allowing or disallowing a sale dependent upon the age of the customer.
Advantage: Birthdate validation can protect cashiers and store owners from legal ramifications resulting from the sale of products restricted to a legal minimum age (i.e., alcohol, cigarettes, etc.).
Feature: Best and Worst Sellers Report
Capability: Reports allow store management to view individual item sales by minimum or maximum quantity or dollar value.
Advantage: Instantaneous merchandising information allows store management to quickly determine sales trends by high movers or slow movers. This report will assist in buying decisions and price reduction decisions.
Feature: Foreign Currency Conversion
Capability: Allows from one to three of the miscellaneous keys to be used as a foreign currency key for border locations, duty free stores, airports and currency exchanges. Change can be provided in either local or foreign currency. Exchange rates may be preset or manually entered to accommodate fluctuating exchange rates.

Feature: Period To Date Terminal Report
Capability: Provides totals of sales activity for period specified by the individual retailer. Reports can run bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually. Totals will continue to accumulate until the retailer clears them with the Z Report.
