The Win-Plus WP1100 is the second in a series of Win-Plus family models that will be released by Omron, providing resellers with reliable and highly competitive hardware solutions for touchscreen applications. The Win-Plus WP1100 has been specifically designed to meet the rigorous operating conditions common to Hospitality as well as General Retail applications and environments. The WP1100 utilizes ACCU Touch, the highly reliable touchscreen technology from Elo Touch Systems, to deliver the operational durability and enhanced performance required for demanding touchscreen applications. The WP1100 Terminal delivers full PC features and functionality in a compact, ergonomically designed, low profile footprint that saves valuable work space and allows convenient usage in congested areas.
Like its sister model WP1000, The Win-Plus WP1100 can be used with software packages for General Retail applications that support touchscreen functionality. The WP1100 can be purchased separately as an independent touchscreen platform that can be used with third party software for fast food, quick service and other Hospitality applications. The WP1100 will be bundled with The Right Touch for DOS software as a System Package, to provide a turnkey solution for restaurant and other table service applications.
Win-Plus MODEL WP1100 - OVERVIEW The Win-Plus WP1100, features a 10.4" passive color touchscreen display that provides high quality resolution and optimal viewing angles. The WP1100 features a 586 / 133 MHz processor (CPU) to deliver the processing power required to support DOS as well as Windows based applications. The WP1100 includes one 72 pin SIMM socket to support up to 64 MB of RAM memory and an Enhanced IDE disk controller to accommodate a 2.5" Hard Disk. Peripheral and I/O connectivity are serviced via two serial communication ports, an enhanced parallel port and an on-board 10BaseT Ethernet port for LAN based network communications. Quick on-site repair or depot maintenance can be accomplished. Additional peripheral options include cash drawer(s), attachable mag stripe card reader, thermal or dot matrix POS printer and a customer display. The unit includes an internal power supply and RJ connection printer cable. In addition, the unit meets EPA energy star requirements. Its sister model, the WP1000, differs in shape, size and display, providing for flexible options.
KEY ATTRIBUTES
The Win-Plus WP1100 was specifically designed to meet the rigorous operating conditions of Hospitality environments. The 10.4" LCD operator display is liquid resistant and dustproof and extends the life and use of the system while protecting the system investment. Unlike standard PCs, the WP1100 is designed to withstand high levels of electrostatic discharge (common in many environments) which can corrupt data files and cause system lockups or failures. Its space saving compact design, makes the WP1100 ideal for environments where space is at a premium. Omron is using the highly reliable Elo Touch screen technology in the Win-Plus units to further enhance the reliability of the unit with fast, accurate touch responses, increasing speed of service. Omron is proud to present this fully integrated unit for use in the Hospitality or Retail Industry. The Win-Plus WP1100 utilizes ``plug and play" peripherals and internal components which can be easily replaced in seconds, without any specialized skills. As a result, on-site service can be performed quickly without major disruption to business. This capability and a compact lightweight footprint also makes the WP1100 ideal for depot maintenance programs to lower ownership cost. The Win-Plus WP1100 has been Quality Assured to comply with Omron Quality Standards, which are the most stringent within the industry. Extensive quality and material control are performed throughout the manufacturing process. Each WP1100 is subjected to extensive burn in and diagnostic testing prior to delivery. The combination of these test and quality standards optimize operating efficiency and up-time performance. The optional mag-stripe reader is a track 1 & 2 reader. A mounting bracket (included in the kit) attaches to the side of the unit. This option provides additional security, flexibility and speed to any operation.

The Win-Plus WP1100 includes a 2.5" hard disk drive. It can function as a standalone terminal or be networked with additional WP1100 Terminals in peer to peer or client server system configurations. System configurations are dependent on the software applications utilized. CONFIGURATION NOTES
Note that if an existing network wiring environment uses BNC cable, it is recommended to rewire using twisted pair cable in order to accommodate the WP1100's RJ45 connector.

Automated Setup As a Systems Package, the Win-Plus WP1100-TRT is pre-loaded with The Right Touch for DOS software, LANtastic and MS-DOS, and is set-up for out of box use. After connecting the WP1100-TRT with the network and peripheral options, and turning it on, the user will automatically be set-up as a workstation. If an alternate configuration is desired, simply type ``config" from the C:\ prompt and follow the on-screen instructions.
